In phase laser ranging technology, the ranging result is derived from the change in phase. Errors in phase measurement will inevitably lead to inaccurate ranging results. Therefore, improving the measurement accuracy of phase changes can effectively improve the accuracy of ranging results. During the measurement process, the change in phase has a great relationship with the frequency of the signal. When the frequency of the modulation signal is low, the longer it takes for a phase change to occur, which is more conducive to measuring the phase change. Conversely, when the modulation signal frequency is very high, the time required for a phase change is very short, and the corresponding measurement calculation time is also very short, which is not conducive to measuring the phase. Therefore, in the process of selecting the modulation signal frequency, it should be noted that using medium and low frequencies can obtain more accurate measurement results than using high-frequency signals. When a high-frequency modulation signal is selected, the high-frequency signal is synchronously demodulated by reducing the frequency to measure the phase change, which is known as "difference frequency phase measurement." For example, digital difference frequency phase measurement, the frequency source of this circuit is also two, namely the main oscillation frequency and the local oscillation frequency. Unlike the two frequency sources of analog circuits coming from different places, the two frequencies of the digital circuit come from the same frequency reference source, which effectively solves the problems of waveform jitter and frequency drift. In addition, the mixing in the digital circuit converts analog signals into digital signals through an A/D converter, and then uses the processing function of the digital signal processor to complete the phase measurement. The digital phase measurement circuit mainly includes two parts: the first is mixing and filtering, and the second is digital processing of signals to achieve computing functions. The digital phase measurement circuit greatly simplifies the structure of the phase measurement, reduces waveform jitter in the circuit, improves measurement accuracy, and makes the obtained results more accurate.
